Modern Sporter Update April 16 2019

The FA upper sets with second run lowers are shipping before my SS upper that I ordered NOVEMBER 16! Thats not following the timeline. Mind you I was at the end of the SS order, but was told via email and then confirmed on this forum, they will keep the tooling for SS and finish the extras for ALL second run lowers, then start the FA. I was going to just order FA to get it sooner, and not wait for second SS run. How are guys getting the FA's second run lowers before me that deposited way after me?

Went on FB and Shaun posted this yesterday "All forms of order have gone out the window things are all mixed up and all we could do was apologize, but it's going to be a scatter of numbers both chronologically and sequentially"

Well finally the eagle has landed! I had my hand on the phone several times to call and ask for an update but refrained from doing so as I knew it wouldn’t help get it to me any faster.

No
Its heavier and more expensive and does nothing at all. The bcg is shaped to jam your thumb to forward the bolt. It's just a bean counter mechanism added after the initial m16 rifles jammed because the same bean counters changed the coating and stuff on the internals

That being said.. I'd want one because it looks the part.

So up to you what matters.

Good thing you didn't order an AR from them as it would still be illegal to hunt with in this country. This has been the case since the mid 80s.
The Turd has done nothing to prevent your from hunting with a Modern Sporter however. At least not yet and who says he will risk his job now trying?

Picked up my lower today, and it’s flawless!!
Phone rang while I was there and you can see how much time it consumes.

For anyone wondering if theirs is in the latest batch, I’d suggest waiting for the call or email.. every call probably stops 1-2 sets from being inspected, oiled, boxed, etc.

Nah. All serial numbers/order sequences are off the table. Who knows what numbers between 224 and 924+ Are in this 132pc set.

And since serial numbers were not tied to order sequence. All of this is a roll of the dice now for the next few weeks.

To confuse you more, some run 2 lowers have already shipped and apparently:

I still figure more or less lowers are getting milled in about the order they were ordered but with anodizing doing their own thing in terms of batches, the EDM messing up some lowers, and potential QC rejects it's a bit of a lottery.

I wouldn't put much stock in it but I still would bet that lower serials come earlier than higher serials, on average.

I haven't seen anything to the contrary.
