Modern Sporter

My advice as a Police Officer;

Call your local Detachment and ask if you can use it.

Get a name and badge number and scribble some notes if you’re given the all clear.

My 2 cents.

My opinion;
FRT is not law.
Not named in OIC.

… then somehow the ATRS wakes up to find out it it’s related to the AR15? Didn’t the RCMP lab already determine it wasn’t? - personally, seems like gaslighting to me.

Was the ATRS named in the squashed C-21 amendments? I can’t remember?

If so, then that’s more information to suggest it’s not included in the Prohibited listing - the listing that is law.

Every jurisdiction/ and cop will have their own opinions on the matter - best to call YOUR jurisdiction and find out.

Cops don’t make law, nor should they. That’s how banana republics work.

Wouldn't selling an MS count as selling a prohibited weapon? I have an MS-18A3 I wouldn't mind selling for a reasonable price. The build quality is fantastic, but I cant use it due to the idiotic ban and would rather have the funds for something else. Just don't want to get slapped with a weapons trafficking offense.

Edit: Please do not PM me asking to buy the rifle. I will be holding off until there is more clarity on its legality. Thanks!

The MS and MH line of rifles was deemed NR by the RCMP, was not legally changed within 1 year of original classification, was not changed in any way from approved designs, was noted as not being the two firearms they claim it is.

40-ish days after a regulatory change and suddenly all notes are illegally modified or deleted, and the FRT - opinion of some unelected RCMP beaurocrat who is not Law Enforcement, was changed behind the scenes - illegally.

Their firearms were never listed in an OIC, no law has received royal assent/come into force stating otherwise, so as of Jan 2020 and Mar 2023 they are NR.

They were in fact listed in the Amendment that has been withdrawn. The entire amendment was quite clearly an attempt to circumvent the court cases against the RCMP-SFSS, and this corrupt Goobernment.

Well. There you have it.

They tried to pass it in to law, but it was withdrawn.

Rcmp has just enough power to harass atrs from making anymore and that's all they care about. Avg Joe can still buy and sell and a decent amount of ranges won't care either, occasional bootlicker will tell you it's prohib but just ignore. Wish atrs made the 308 hunter in rec sets id buy one today
