You can call a hammer an "impact tool". Both would be correct, but honestly, that is just catering to political correctness to the extreme.

It is the "Black and green rifle" section, which makes sense seeing as it is all about black and green colored rifles.

I say no simply on the basis that we're not going to change the "Black and Green Shotguns" forum to "Modern Sporting Shotguns".

I voted change it, only because it actually describes the rifles better. I mean, I have a lot of black rifles that are not "Black Rifles" and vice versa, so modern sporting rifles covers that. I don't consider it bowing down to the anti's as appose to accurately describing are non assault weapons.

I hate it when someone asks a gun owner, "why do you need an assault weapon/black rifle", and they respond. I just reply, "I don't have an assault weapon", or "many of my rifles are black, here, check out this painted Cooey".

I find it amazing that with all the threads on "help me find a cheap NR black rifle" and why is the "AR restricted" so few on here are willing to do anything to help change the perception of these gun as anything other than assault rifles. We've got whole threads dissing guys who use the term "Sniper Rifle" because of public perception but hey, screw the man, I guess if we, the gun experts, call them assault rifles then I guess that's what they must be.


Change starts here boys, or I guess not .........


And really why do I need an assault weapon, oh I guess I don't.

yeah BUT if you start referring to them as a MSR that just sounds kind of lame . How can I be GI Mil Specs unless I call it something COOOL ! But if you want to ban them I will be the first to tell you they are no different from a 1022 ... Sure it's PC to call them msr , or is it PC just to ban them and keep calling them ASSAULT rifles ? Why bother educating the public and saving these as part of the Canadian Firearms Sporting Rifles .
