There are things to take into consideration when cutting down a DI barrel so purchasing another barrel for a swap would be wiser.
 
Was looking at getting a XCR but all things being equal, keeping my money in Canada counts for something IMO.
 
The us army may adopt the 6.8 Kramer in the future or at least it is the best contender for a 5.56 replacement. Would atrs consider offering an upper of this in the future?? Anyone else have thoughts on this??
 
Hmmm... I could sell a few things to fund this. But I'm thinking of going with their original offering, unless these factory models end up getting tight groups too. If you guys see a tavor and some colt ar's on the EE that means the decision has been made.

With a government who is known to be unfriendly towards the firearms community I think they are being extremely wise by not risking the chance of the Queens Cowboys revisiting the line up. There is a saying about leaving sleeping dogs lie and I think this is a good time to leave the mutt sleep.

Exciting news, this rifle sounds great! There was some contemplation on your part upthread regarding a medium contour barrel on the "Factory" version. But your website says "20" light contour chrome lined barrel" which would be my preference. Can you confirm please? Also, any idea of what the weight of the rifle will be unloaded? Thanks and good work on the offering :d

Milspec obviously.:rolleyes: These are not matchgrade barrels hand lapped barrels hence the far lesser cost. I would expect accuracy to be about the same as what a milspec AR with a chrome lined barrel would deliver, maybe a little better due to the trigger being vastly better than what is found in a milspec AR.

The first batch of barrels coming are light contour 20" chrome lined. So just over the 6 lb mark less optics etc.etc..
We are waiting to hear back on the medium barrels from our supplier. I just missed updating that post. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I think the lightweight should what comes standard even on future rifles. 6lbs is very good!
 
:) 18.6" Light Contour Barrels what finish will the barrels come in ? and would you sell the tool for if some one wanted to change the handguard ?

20 inch! As was said before 20 inch is available from the factory and is marginally cheaper then a custom length 18.6 inch.
