Modern Varmint style uppers and lowers

Cool !!! so are you still willing to let some of us take a Gamble with you ? EMT on standby :)

I could be wrong but as I am interpreting it, ATRS has merely done alll the preliminary design and testing before submittimg a sample to the lab so that they dont have to do that part several times. I dont believe they intend to sell before an FRT is issued as that could spell disaster for their business if they are found to be trafficking restricted or prohibited firearms in the event the FRT report comes back with a less desirable classification. I dont know about you folks, but I wouldn't want to see such an excelent shop get shut down and tied up in litigation.

The WK180 is different in that it is a dimensional exact copy of an allready NR platform, not a new dimensionally different reciever set.

ATRS made the offer to sell prior to frt being issued. They have yet to reply to those willing to take them up on their offer.

Brian, It was a tongue in cheek comment that I have now edited. The ramifications could be far reaching and truly negative for both parties. So until we have the legal classification we will not be releasing any of these. Sorry.

Sell doesn't mean deliver. It could very easily be a prebuy, but as you notice they hesitate to even take your money at this point until they have an answer, what makes you think that they would not show the same/more hesitation to deliver something that could result in a legal battle if things go sideways?

Rick is smart and patient about how he deals with the process, we need to be the latter as well.

Hello Rick,
Not sure if this has been answered yet
Once you receive the FRT,are these ready to roll out the door?
Or will there be a wait period?

Thanks

We have run 6 or 7 complete production upper/lowers/guns so far. It would be suicidal to go into full production and have a few hundred units on the shelf only to get a negative classification, so YES there will be a wait time once we have the legal classification in which we will then get full production going. I would anticipate from day of favorable classification to ready to go out the door being about 3 months.

That seems wise.

I'm eagerly awaiting classification on these.

Was a final decision made on the forward assist? I'd certainly pay a bit more to have one.

Can we see some of the configurations you've come up with?

No forward assist as it is a useless feature. We may at some point make a run of uppers that has it, but only IF there is enough demand for it. It will increase the cost of the upper as larger diameter material is needed and there is quite a bit more machine time involved. How much more $$ is unknown at this time as we have not crunched any numbers for the additional feature.

No worries Rick, DILLIGAF said he would pay for it all up front :stirthepot2:

Hes got my email, and Im on the list.

They didnt want my money since they rather wait for FRT witch I fully understand. I really dont mind waiting for this at all.

BCL has almost 3K of my money and every day I cringe when I see all the issues and delays...lol...

Haha yeah I know. Just couldn't resist the jibe

Speaking of waiting on the other issue, yeah I read about that. But I think you did mention somewhere that in the end you were just buying a receiver set so...
