Since I came into a couple of SR22's my poor 25 year old all metal trigger carbine was getting ignored:ang
I was going to convert it into another AR style but then thought the barrel would look stupid and did not want to spend much.I found a cheap ATI stock for $60.Completely dissasembled everything and cleaned it YUCK 25 yrs of grime.I installed a bolt buffer I had from the SR's.Total cost about $65. Cleaned the old scope after taking it off a re torqued everything.Just need to get out a re sight it in with a little love. Some before and after pics

A hand checkered walnut stock replaced with a tackiekewl piece of plastic...
Bet you can sell the stock for a lot more than you paid for the "upgrade" parts.

Fun to tinker, and it's your gun.....but with 2 SR22s in the house already, I'd have kept that rifle stock. The gun needs to make you happy though, not me! :)

Don't sell the walnut stock.
One of my favorite 10/22 combinations is the sporter walnut combined with a stainless barrel and silver receiver.

No I won't ever sell it that way I can put the old sporter back together. It did need a good cleaning. I even did a full KG cleaning on the barrel, looks like new inside.
