Modified now in Ontario/Canada

At the Sin City Match this weekend there were 9 modified shooters (unfortunately of those one was DQ'd). So now in Canada there will be 7 modified ICS scores entered... very interesting... could it be the start of something new??

most importantly... and here is my question to Quigley or other board members as this was debated all weekend.... would the past "special" rules for production and revolver apply here as well as to being recognized as a division and for future classification?? over 5 shooters 2 masters of different divisions declared in modified (being allowed to carry their current classification over to different division as was done for production and revolver) and also for being recognized as a division Ontario what needs to be done?

I'll put ot forward in the new year (assuming I'm still around) but there's no reason we wouldn't aplly the same concessions to Modified.

To get recognised as a Division in Ontario...I assume to mean awards at the Provincial Match? We would just base it on participation. We had awards this year for revolver (I don't think we had 10 shooters) so no reason nopt to do the same for another Division.

There's a couple of guys in Quebec that would be very happy to hear this...

So now I gotta ask...what promted this? and was are most people shootinfg (custom or the SVI or Tang modified guns)...
 
they all fit in the box with mag inserted of course... otherwise they would have been bumped to open...
 
actually...we have an exemption in Canada so the mag doesn't have tp be inserted...

I'm still curious about what setups people were using (ported barrels, optics, iron sights, etc) No reason other than to satisfy my curiosity...

keep me informed i<ll continue my Modified pistol

actually if the mag exemption apply i<ll shoot a single stack 45 commander lenght fully ported barrel ( like 16 port until i drill to the chamber) and a c-more

finally some good NEWS
 
Actually...it wouldn't apply. I guess Maxpig was testing me :D

It's very specifically worded (appendix D2 - Standard)

Just goes to show you even someone as perfect as me can make a mistake once in a while ;)

Wasn't a test Quigley can't expect you to know all things IPSC like Filthy (he's just an IPSC freak of nature). I guess he'd have to be... with all the "what if" debates we have...

No prompting was needed...it's just the new OEM up grade to the SP-01 and Tangs...:rolleyes:....ported barrels...comps....red dots.....but still 5 lbs double action first shot. Ya know the now new and improved D.A.N.M.O.M.P.D. (Double Action No Magwell Open Modified Production Division).....:runaway:..

No just kidding. It's good to see the interest in the other division. Rev, now Mod. It show's that we are growing.
