Modify Savage Stock?

Anyone tried to strengthen the factory Tupperware stock? There seems to be a lot of room to work with.

It would be great if someone made some sort of aluminium skeleton that bolted in.

Yes I just read that article and could not believe how much metal he was able to get into the stock. When my HS stock arrives I am going to look at it with the same regard .

Where did you order your HS stock from? How much? It doesn’t state on the HS site that they even make stocks for Savage. Obviously they do because you can get a Savage rifle with one.

I'm not willing to put that much epoxy in my rifle myself, I know I'd screw it up.

Had the same stock issue as you..McMillan & HS Precision Savage stocks are really hard to get & you may be waiting a few months to a year for delivery...So I did the conversion to Remington & got an LTR. They have lots of accessories available compared to the Savage.

Maybe in a few years, more options will be available.
