Hi guys,
I just got my hands on a .223 Savage.
Took it out to the range to zero it and test fire, so far so good.
Back home and im starting to play:
-adding weight to the butt stock (it really was nose heavy to begin with)
-then i had to modify my Warne Rail mount (it was for a right hand action)
-next i was adding padding to the rear stock to get a correct cheek weld
I am also contemplating bedding the action (Devcon is in hand) and i figure the worst thing i can do is accelerate my aftermarket stock purchase.
So after popping out the action from the stock i get the first look at how the blind magazine is orientated and connected.....and it looks really close to my Lar10 magazine. Attempting to make this work will require me to get my die grinder out and cut out .050" of either side of the bottom of the "receiver" to make the Lar10 magazine fit.
After that i would have to mock up the magazine catch/release etc.
Has anyone else played with this idea?? Or am i on the verge of destroying a perfectly good rifle?
