Actually was thinking about it now , and being that I only did a PAL we did not cover restricted arms back when I did my PAL. I just searched around and it dosnt even look like the LAR's were around when I did my FAC 15 years ago

Stop now please...... only a matter of time before someone tells you that FAC's don't exist and haven't for over 15 years.....your digging a deeper hole

Pmag LAR magazine

A what and the who now? Is that like a 30 magazine clip?

Unless it's specifically marked as a pistol magazine, designed and marketed for a SPECIFIC pistol, and not marketed as compatable with rifles at all, it is limited to 5. No PMAGS are marketed as for pistol only.

There are plastic .223 pistol mags (ATR-15 mags for example) but Magpul does not make any.

I think all of us are waiting for the atrs mags. I sure hope they tripled their amount this time

any word from the feds on the .50 Beowulf mags?

I remember the infamous RCMP letter confirming we were not criminals for possessing or using LAR 10 round mags... Would be nice to have same confirmation for these as well.

The same bulletin notes that using one caliber in a magazine designed for another is in fact to the letter of the law. Although it doesn't necessarily name beo mags, and IIRC gives the example of 9mm in a 40S&W mag, it does outline the legality of using a different caliber in a mag designed for something else.

Of course I'm totally misunderstanding and you just wanted to confirm that 5 beowulf rounds in a magazine designed for beowulf are legal..... right? :p
