modifying the hammer on .32rf revolver to reliably hit centered .22 blanks in adapters

I've been thinking about getting an antique .32rf, however the current .22 blank adapters seem inconvenient since they need to be oriented correctly with the .22 blank being offset. I've seen some discussion about centered .22 blanks and how some revolvers will adequately strike centered .22, some won't. I am wondering about the legality and practicality of modifying or replacing the hammer such that it will consistently strike .22 which is centered in the chamber.
My understanding is that the frame must remain original, but reparing or replacing other parts is acceptable legally. I imagine significant modification may become legally dusbious, but a very slight increase in the size of the nose on the hammer seems like it would be acceptable and could even legitimately be bringing it back to original form if the nose had worn down over the years.

Curious to get input on this, it sure would be nice to be able to reliably use an adapter with the .22 blank centered instead of offset.
