Modifying the Sig 226 22lr conversion kit to fit a Norinco NP22 clone

I had seen a couple posts showing the conversion kit on the NP22 but could not find any info on exactly how to do it.

What did you use to remove the material? It looks like you used a chainsaw lol

Used a Princess auto rotary tool (dremel) and a round ball cutting bit, as that was all i had.

i just got a conversion kit............and it fit with no alteration ............on my np34 / p226 copy ----was a tad tight but slide went on and with a bit of oil and working back / forth is fine, i then assembled barrel and entire upper went on and functions ( dry fire at home ) a-ok..........will test fire sunday afternoon at range .
my norinco is quite old not the newest model that mite be the reason ??

i simply lucked out .

Was that an NP-34/228 clone or a NP-22/226 clone NB.nagantsniper?

I tried a SIG226 .22 rimfire kit didn't come close to fitting my frame.

oops my error folks ............mine is the early model / no rails np22 ............my son has an early model np34 no rails . the conversion kit for the p226 FIT MY np22. no alteration but ill know more after my test shoot sunday afternoon.

fit andfunctions no worrys ...............but ill have to test various ammo the cheep winchester 333 round packs dont eject or sometimes stove pipe.............not enough ooomp to work the action
