Modle 70 Winchesters

I asked this on another thread not too long ago and one of the guys with a 2008 model stated that it was made of steel...

Well, I have a 2008 Win 70 and my guess is that the trigger guard and frame are aluminium, but the floor plate is steel. I'll change mine for a Williams soon. But I have to make sure they make one that fits the new trigger assembly (MOA).

All my serious hunting guns are Mod.70s. As for old Mod. 70 accuracy, I just took my 300 H&H out for the first time. All I had were 5 rounds of 30-40 yr old Dominion Factory 180s. 2 to get on the paper at 100 then 3 in under 3/4".
One group means nothing but it doesn't hurt either.

MTM, that 7mm supergrade you traded to me shoots and handles like a damm, its my favorite. I also like my remmy, parkerhale and tikka, my cz .22 sillhouette has been the most dissapointing.
