Before any of you begin to scan and analyze my thread, I want to take an opportunity to say a few words before I continue. I've been a member of this board since 2006. I haven't accomplished or said much, but the CGN community is nothing short of amazing. Everyone for the most part are helpful and encouraging. There are a lot of forums out there, and the low levels of negativity and selfishness really sets CGN apart from the rest. So here's to you Canadian Gun Nuttterz, your the best a guy could ask for!
Well it's a new week and here we are again, as the thread title mentioned the topic is once again Magpul MOE hand-guards on a Norinco.
I know that this subject has been beaten to death but I pose a question for you nutterz. I've already combed through the search function for the last week at my own leisure on this matter.
On the advice of other Gun Nutz I purchased a Norinco (Lever Arms VanCity). I won't get into the details on why I bought one, or my thoughts on it because like I said above....no more redundant violence towards animals.
So I ordered some Magpul gear to install. I slipped the CTR stock on with no issues, but I'm having a problem with my MOE hand-guards. Now this is where I pose my question. I'm already well aware from using the search function that some fitting is required. Unfortunately for me I came up at a time where the Vancouver school board had a low elective budget and the only classes offered to me in high school was home-ec, and drama courses. We had wood shop for a little, but that didn't last long as our teacher had a nervous breakdown leaving us all with a study block. Story involves a prank transformed into an assault involving bolts and a soddering iron...
The point is I have zero experience with fitting and any type of metal work. I understand some shaving (with a dremel I assume) is needed. So with that being said, and with some of the craftiest mofos I've ever seen online here on CGN I was wondering if someone could walk me through the fitting.
Below are some pictures I've taken of the MOE handguard, where and what do I shave?
Should I just give up and try to bring it to a gunshop to fit (reliable gun?Would they know what to do?)
If this is a longer post and some of you don't care, I apologize in advanced...but I'm willing to bet someone has experience writing step by step instructions for kids like me who learned to count by cooking microwave dinners.

p.s. shout out to Blaxsun for providing the parts!
