Moison demand

Great rifles, but they are at the moment quite abundant and ammo is either expensive (commercial) or not always easy to find (corrosive surplus; when it's there, stock-pile it); reloading isn't a bad idea. So, they aren't selling for much. I sure like 'em.

M1891 rifles are sold out in Finnish Arms Depots and they were the last known source for these. M38/M44 carbines are now sold out of Soviet Block Arms Depots and no other source is available. M1891/30 rifles are still easily available, but for how long?

i love my sniper repro. very accurate and nice piece of history (altough a repro)
i am the secone owner but it was originally bought from P&S

I love Mosin-Nagants. Just bought an original sniper and a few years ago I paid $700 to import a .22LR Mosin Nagant from the USA. I love my German Capture 1891 and I recently bought a 38 Carbine with some Arabic characters painted on the stock! So much history to these rifles.

So yes, there's demand.

How true! I remember it was only a couple years ago we were hearing the same about the German K98 rifle, when the Russian captures made it into Canada. Although they still are around, the EE is not flooded with them as before:)

I bought a mint 1944 Polish infantry model last year. Didn't know much about the rifles, etc. It was going cheap and came with 100rnds of surplus ammo. After shooting 40rnds I was very impressed with its balance, accuracy, and overall feel.
I've since discovered that 7.62x54 surplus ammo is very difficult to get and the commercial stuff is fairly expensive. I'm hoping more surplus stuff becomes available because I'm not willing to finish off my last 60rnds until then(and I don't know why....)

It is Mosin Nagant. There is demand for those, I am selling at least ten a week to general public plus wholesale sales. M44 and M38 are more rare now as there is thousands of those were dumped to USA. Yes dumped I have no other word. The prices that they had there should have been anti dumping ruling against that.
Anyway it is a great rifles especially if you get a scope for it. Repro is available from us if you want one. You can buy "original" one from eBay but I guarantee that that one only left the factory a week earlier than mine.
As to ammo Marstar is bringing surplus 7.62x54 make sure you get some when it arrives. Also we will have new production from Novosibirsk (Russia) plant.

i took the 91/30 to the range today
it is a sniper repro
with S&B sp ammo 180 grs i was able to group in 1.5" at 100 yards
but note that i am not the best shooter
i am sure that with reloading and more experience, the rifle is capable of doing even better!

very accurate for such a piece of history

A bent bolt?

Did it come like this?

PS all Mosins are infantry models. :p

Good eyes Calum! Yes the bolt came bent and numbers matched. Like I said knew nothing about these rifles but later found out that the bolts should be straight! I looked closer at the bend...must have been a good smith because it looks factory imo.
I guess all Mosins are infantry LOL...meant it was the shorter version with bayo used normally used by the first guys out of the gate;)

I'd shoot this more if I could find more surplus ammo (I think I mentioned that already)

Sweet find. :)

"Uhoh. I just bought another one. M44 with German Waffenampts... "

Many fakes of this type, if it has several Waffennants all over the stock, it is a fake brought in 10 nto 15 years ago. Real ones only have a very small waffenant a the bottom part of the stock in the wrist area.
