Just picked one of these things up a couple of weeks ago. I cant find the instructions off hand, but it is wired up and ready to go. Am I to assume that to recharge it, you just plug er in and thats it? There is no such thing as an over charge. And the other question is, is these waterproof. Or should it be left in the truck in the rain?

To know if it is charged it depends what one you have, some you leave the battery in the duck when charging and there's an inicator light that tells you when the battery is charged, on others where you have to pull the battery out to charge it you have to listen for a buzz or something when the battery is charged (or just watch the time). MAKE SURE THE CONNECTIONS DO NOT GET WET! This is how you short it out and then you need to completely re-wire the whole thing. I wouldn't leave it out in the rain, however, it must be waterproof if it was designed for duck hunting.

Good Luck!

Yes to charge it there is a little hole under the arse so to speak that an adapter plugs into it from the wall. I will check inside to see if any lights are on for a full charge. And I think I will not take the chance in the rain. It may just stay in the truck if its raining. Sucks though, some of our best hunting is in the rain, and the ducks LOVE the wing spinning idea. Oh well.

If there is no ready light, charge about 10-12 hours when charge is very low. If im charging for the next day I plug it in after dinner unplug right before I leave home.. Use it in the rain,, rain shouldnt get too the electronics,, just dont drop it in the water!
