Moly coated bullets?

I definately didn't find any difference for the better with my .30-06, and I seemed to have more fliers than plain jacketed. I would use cost as my main guideline. If they cost more than your normal bullets, then I would not buy them myself. But they may fly out your barrel better than mine, so until you try some out, who's to really say if they are right for you or not.
do a google search on them. i found a sight that a while back that
did not paint a prety picture on these moly bullets.
apaerently in some cases it builds up in the barrel
and can cause a bulge in your barrel.

I have been Moly coating the projectiles that I use for work since late 1996, the difference in accuracy is nonexistent as is the fallacy about the Moly building up (clean the rifle goose).....the only benefit that I have perceived is that it is much easier to clean the rifle bore, that is it, period !
I shall continue to use Moly on my projectiles as I am a lazy bugger who will do anything to make a job easier....Oh, and God only knows how many Moly coated projectiles that I have used in my work.

I have used moly for about 13-14 years. My rifles have gone as far as 800+ rounds without cleaning and were still able to win matches. You may get flyers if you start off with a clean bore but as the barrel gets a full coating these go away.
I feel cleaning the bore is over rated in most cases and the only people that say you need to clean the bore are those that sell cleaning products. Myself, I would rather sit around with a drink in hand than a cleaning rod.

No pressure problems. The thing was still shooting very well but I had a couple big matches coming up (700-800 rounds) so I ended up cleaning it.I have been using moly bullets for about 6 years now and I don't clean my rifle until I get to 500 rounds. Accuracy is great with fliers on the first 2-3 rounds. I competed with this gentleman from New Brunswick that was shooting moly coated bullets and he refused to clean his his barrel until it had a minimum of 1200 rounds through it. By the way he won all the long range shoots that weekend.
