Moly coated bullets

The premise behind Moly is to lengthen barrel life. The offset is that you have to use more powder to get the same pressure/velocities as shooting naked bullets.

A good article HERE about moly.

Molybdenum Disulfide is an extreme high pressure lubricant, above 400000 psi..
Works great on bullets at speed 3000-4000 fps. I have my own moly applicator kit from Lyman.

A valuable lesson I just experienced was don't shoot moly coated bullets and then shoot Barnes TSX solids. It took 4 hours of scrubbing with Barnes CR-10 to get the copper fouling out of the barrel.

If you do use them don’t shoot anything else till you have cleaned your barrel.
Have fun.

I use them to clean my barrel:p OK maybe not clean the barrel but I can go allot longer between cleanings. I have gone over 800 rounds without cleaning and still won matches.
