IF you want to stay with Savage why not get a new single shot Savage mk I-G they look like they might be a good gun and SIR has them for only $184.99 20inch barrel and 5 1/2 lbs.

I notice that this model even has the Accutrigger.

And......Savage rimfires are made in Canada!
