Ok so I googled it and it's basically like ATA singles but with two shots per target allowed and scoring on a points system as opposed to number of broken targets scoring system. As well targets are set to a thrown distance of 50-55 yards as opposed to 50 yards with a + or - variance of 2 yards as in ATA. Only thing I could not figure out was how they came up with target speeds of 60-100 mph given a 55 yard max throwing distance? ATA allows for a recommended target speed setting of 42 mph through the use of a radar gun or thrown to the 50 yard stake. I don't see how throwing the same size and style target 5 yards further will jack target speeds as high as 100 mph? Anyhoo, sounds like a different game. You said it's a registered shoot, who is the governing body in DTL trap?

You're overthinking this Spank. ATA 16 yard singles is also known as DTL. In the UK the rules are different, the rules you listed are for the version the English version regulated by the CBSA. We only shoot ATA singles, doubles and wobble/ABT at our club. We don't shoot Olympic or bunker/trench at our club.

Not everyone is that detail oriented, an member told about a week ago that we don't shoot American Skeet at our club, we shoot NSSA skeet. To think for 40 years he didn't know the actual name of the game he was playing.
