Money ''Invested'' in Magazines

Ok

I'm sure I have more kicking around. But these are the ones in the drawer...

I bought a lot of gun packages off the EE that came with lots.
Hoping the prices skyrocket again... I remember the $80 pmags days :(

This is also a good start

That is a nice collection of mags. The way I look at it, having more mags of one kind extends the shelf life for all of them.

I have personally found that one of CGN's sponsors, iRunguns, has some very good prices for PMAGS and Glock mags, even though the prices are USD and even after shipping and taxes are factored in, it is still cheaper than the local stores, most of which have had a lot of their PMAG stock dry up.

To be honest. Usually when I am traveling i visit gun shops just to look around. And rather than not buy anything, I usually pick up a mag or something cheap.... gotta support local gun shops.

Especially if the prices are fair.

I have 5 Sako 78 magazines.
Just need the border open to sell 3 of them.
Should pay for my next holiday flight.

So , thinking that I have ;
6 x 4 Cooper/Anschuutz .17 HMR Mags. @ $89.95
6 x 10 Anschutz/Cooper .22 lr mags @ $89.95
2 x 5 Cooper .22 lr mags @ $ 135.00
4 x 5 Anschutz .22 lr mags @ $ 70.95
3 x 25 CZ .22 lr mags @ $ 49.95
4 x 10 CZ .17 HMR5 @ $39.95
Plus misc. $$
total - $2242.55 before tax ,shipping & WTF

I guess that I'm not shopping around for the ''Cheap'' Stuff. .. skwerl

Magazines are investments?
You know they're consumables right?

People say this, but they aren't really in the "consumable" class unless you lose them. Yes, they can wear out at the feed lips and springs can break. But parts are replaceable and I have mags with many thousands of rounds through them that still work great.

That said, some mags are way better than others and some become unusable prematurely. I've pissed around with enough aftermarket mags to know that about 50% of them are junk and the other 50% are great. So choose wisely, a cheap mag may not be a bargain.

I have many mags. :)
