Hey thought you pistol guys might like a look at my new Nasty looking 60 caliber pinfire Its the mother of all pinfires and Antique and im gona use 24 ga brass shotgun cases with the rims cut of and case shortened to make the pinfire case and the big 577 hollow based caliber bullets





Its like a mini SXS shotgun with 8 inch Rifled barrels

Likely a howdah pistol. Made for keeping tigers off your elephant in India.

...strange mental image, that. Man comes out of a convenience store in Bangalore, and while walking across the parking lot, spies four tigers removing the hubcaps from his elephant.

"Hey, you tigers! Get off my elephant!" he cries, dropping his slurpee and new issue of Guns and Elephants and reaching around to his shoulder holster to unleash his .60 cal Howdah pistol...

On a serious note, I saw a howdah rifle at a gun show in Edmonton once - a large frame Colt Lightning pump gun, 50-90(?) cal., with a really short barrel - no more than 17 inches or so. Delievered to the London office and thence to the Subcontinent, purchased from the child of a Remittance Man up in Grande Prairie, of all places.

Gad, if only they could talk. That's quite the chunka hardware, bud. Please be careful shooting it - looks pretty road-weary...

Thanks Bearman ya i got all that info copyed in my comp already Ralphs real good on this stuff thats where i got the idea to use the 24 ga brass shotgun cases to make the pinfire.

Did you see the 577 cal 5 shot belgian revolver he restored on that site

Im only gona load BP in this old gun and clean her up check her over good before i go Tiger hunting
