Monster Moose taken in New Brunswick

This moose was taken in Campbelton area New Brunswick, its not a hoax was in the paper there, pic was taken at DNR Campbelton It was in the French paper L'Acadie Nouvelle yesterday. Lucky party of 6 hunters got it. Photo was taken at DNR's Campbelton check station.

I can vouch for that with my 58" bull from last year, we're still gnawing!

That is an incredible bull. I bet there will be one amazed taxidermist. There better be!

Back in 87 -88, I got one that measured 56 or 58 inches,it weighed out at 989 lbs on 4 meat hooks in the cooler.It took 6 guys to lift a hind quarter into the back of my brothers Dodge Dakota pickup.I nailed him twice with a 7mm mag from about 75 yards away,the first shot just made him shrug.I was reloading when he turned and started making for the bush. I shot him again from the opposite side as he was stepping over a log,after the second shot he couldn't lift his leg over the windfall. Two through and through shots meant he was leaking out of 4 holes and as I was getting ready for a third shot, he flopped over breaking some small trees as he went down. That sucker was so tough that even the double ground hamburger bounced.I now would rather tag something that is edible rather than one that has Goodyear written all over him.
