Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on the quality and accuracy of Montana match grade rifle barrels? Your input appreciated.
 
I bought a SS Montana LA receiver and SS heavy barrel in a .300 WM a few years ago which I have since gave to one my sons. It would shoot in the .5 ballpark consistantley off a rest. Ealier this year I was back in contact with them about building another one cuz I miss the other one. I have met others with them and I have heard no complaints. Let us know how you make out.
 
"...a few years ago..." If that was pre-9/11, you need the U.S. export permit for barrels now.
There are very high grade match barrels being made in Canada. The names and contact info are on here some place.
 
bits of pieces in Vancouver imports Montana barrels. No idea how good they are, but I'd rather buy Gaillard or Ron Smith
