Has anyone tried the target contour that 'Bits of Pieces' sells for their build ?? Any good ? Price seem to be really good .

BOP sells Montana Rifles (I'm not sure what thier corporate name is any more, as they've changed hands again recently) barrels. He (I'm assuming a male) would like to know if anyone has tried thier barrels, particularly the target contour. - dan

I've used a few Montana barrels. They are button rifled and are a well finished barrel and properly stress releived. However, I've yet to see a straight one. The curvature is not so great as to seriously affect accuracy, in fact all have been very accurate. It is enough to make set up and chambering somewhat more difficult if one wants to produce a perfectly straight and concentric chamber. All in all, they are a fairly good value.
I am unable to comment on the work from Bits of Pieces since I've not looked at any examples and probably wouldn't comment if I had! Regards, Bill.

I had a LTR with one on it and it would shoot 5 shots into one hole no problem

i've asked barry jensen to make me one in stn. 308 cal. i was told end of dec. i should have it. we'll see how it goes......
