I haven't built one on that action (yet 
), but did get to look closely at one and talk to a smith that was using it for a customer. He stated that there are decent but need alot of "finishing" to make them smooth and asthetically pleasing. They are a heavy action so maybe not the greatest for a light weight build.

They're supposed to be excellent actions. Speak to Barry at Bits of Pieces, he builds rifles on Montana actions for a living, great guy.
