im looking to buy a Ruger redhawk in .45 acp and .45 LC and one of the things i love about this gun is that the .45 acp is usable with moon clips. I've seen a few websites that sell moon clip tools for loading and removing the cartridge but all the websites for the manufactures are the ####tiest backwards websites for the tools (that either only accept money orders in this day and age...) and Non of my local shops carry them unfortunately. Im not sure if any of you revolver guys out there have a recommended brand as some of the ones i've seen look like cheap plastic and would break after a while. Non of my local shops carry them unfortunately. is there any Canadian manufacturers or do i have to buy 1 in the good old US of A. Some info and help would be appreciated as always guys CHeers!

I just made a couple out of some 5/16" Sheet Aluminum and a couple nuts and bolts. The unloading tool I made out of some 1/2" conduit shaped at one end with a grip made of some foam gasket tape and grip tape. Cost me maybe $15 to make two sets.

Nice looking product but $65 us for 10 moon clips for an r8 isn't going to happen! Lol. There must be somewhere cheaper to get them.
Sorry for the hijack.

The stainless steel moon clips will pretty much last forever.
I bought mine with the reshaping tool about 8 years ago and have never needed to adjust mine. They get dropped in the gravel playing at IDPA and other gun games all of the time.
