moonclips for 686

Why not just use speed loaders? IIRC, the cylinder will need machinging to accept moonclips.

That being said... http://www.tkcustom.com/ makes and sells them. Should be a non-issue getting them shipped.

I have talked with tkcustom they can do the job but its a nightmare to have it shipped back to me they told me they dont have the permits i use speedloaders now and they are slower compared to moonclips

If you were to get the moonclips, it would probably be a LOT easier to find a machinist on this side of the border that could machine the cylinder out for ya.

p.s. I shoot PPC with a 686 w/speedloaders..for the fraction of a decrease in load times I may or may not see...I'd rather keep my cylinder to spec...but that's me :) To each his own!

Do you already have a source for .38case sized moonclips? I'd think those would not be that common.

You may want to consider getting a new gun to use with moonies. A 610 so you can shoot .40 S&W or 10MM or a 625 and use .45ACP. That way you can keep your 686 stock or just sell it to finance the new moonie gun purchase.
