Hey all.... so I finally got to shoot my 715T last weekend at a friends farm. I was a bit disappointed in the magazine.. I could only fit 10 or 11 in the magazine, whereas i thought it was suppose to fit 25? Another problem I had was once I loaded in the magazine, i cocked it and then the first round always went in crooked, so I had to manually remove it then the rest went fine i was able to shoot the 10 remaining rounds whith no issue, was actually quite nice. So any idea as to why the mag cannot fit 25 and what the first round ends up crooked? Are the 2 issues related?

This firearm was bought from an online store that advertises on this site.

Thanks...

I just got in 3 more 25 round mags (I guess Mossberg is caught up!) and they all "stuck" at 10 rounds and I had to compress the spring a little to allow the follower to drop to keep loading.

I use the speedloader that comes with the mag, and with my new mags it's next to impossible to get the 25th round in - I ended up denting the casing on the 24th on all 3 mags needing to push so hard. Maybe I'll just load 24 from this point on. As for a misfeed, I wonder if your mag just needs a little tuning?

I'm sure you are using the loader that came with the mag. If you aren't, that's your problem! Have you tried to pull the spring down using the two levers on the side of the mag while loading?
I owned 7 25 rounds mags and yes they wobbled abit but I never had any issues loading them or very few ftl, fte

Maybe i am use to loading my 10 round Marlin .22 I simply push the rounds in with my thumb until full... I do the same for the Mossberg, i guess I can watch that video.. any link to it? And for loader? I did not see any thing other than the magazine and my trigger lock in the box that the 715t came in...

Thanks guys for the prompt response!

I have one never worked from the start sent it back for warranty work took 3 months got it back today still won't fire more than 4 rds with out jamming.

Hey my72jeep, what ammo are you using? Apparently CCI Mini Mag is suppose to go well with the 715T, but i have not have had a chance to get any yet, hard to come by in Montreal. I was using bulk Federal stuff, its coated, but still kind of crappy for semi i think, works good in my Marlin bolt action though.

when using CCI standard and subsonic. works awesome. anything CC I work. I have also had good luck with dynapoint 40gr.

cheap reliable Mossberg rifle, cheap ammo, cheap accessories = awesome and fun!!

Mine has:
utg rail covers ($12 amazon.ca for 12)
utg butt pad ($10 amazon.ca)
utg bipod (not pictured. $25 amazon.ca)
magpul afg ($40 picked up in usa)
remington sling/swivels ($15 walmart)
2 extra mags ($30 wherever you can find them)
carry handle rail removed.

I'm really happy with the quality of the utg stuff. If you order more than $25 worth of items, it's free shipping from amazon.ca !

Too much?!?....lol. Red dot on yhm mount....ATN mk410 nvs. Subs onics and quiet cci's. Fun.

Mine was a miserable piece of junk ... I took it apart right away and it looked like it had sand in the packing grease right from the factory. I rand federal blue Sh*t , American eagle , CCI and Remington golden through mine and I had stove pipes 4,5,6,7 times per mag. I took it apart a couple of times and nothing seemed wrong. The bolt cycled very nice when I cleaned and oiled it.

I noticed that if you continued to take it apart I was sure the screw threads would eventually strip being that they are all plastic ... especially the little one that holds the mag release.

I noticed in some spots although correctly put together ... the clam shell did not line up perfect ... maybe I got a bad run ? I don't know ...

When trying to sight in the iron sight the rear sight was adjusted all the way to the right and the gun was still shooting left ... ive heard other people having the same problem. So I went and bought a scope for it and installed some leupold one piece rigs and bases ... always came loose ... I think it was because the plastic rail is so soft.

I called the company I had bought it from after a week and informed them that I did not know what I was going to do with it. I could not consciously sell the rifle to anyone second hand with the way it performed and that I would be out the $350 it cost to get it to my front door. I told them it was gong to the dump ! they went good for it and I sent it back.

All in all a very fun design but ... IMO Mossberg went a little too cheap on this one.

Jelouse that other people are having better luck than me. I really like the look and handling of the 715
