Well, season has been opened for a couple of weeks and finally got out hunting yesterday evening. Was lucky enough to grab this 4 point bull. We (my son and I) had it cleaned before I remembered the camera. The new Yamaha ATV sure came in hand!

He fooled you on that one, its a Model 7 Whitetail edition. The difference is no rib and the barrel is fluted...:)

Good job guys! WSM rules again

It is indeed, and quickly becoming my favourite rifle. It is everything I like in a rifle: small and compact, very accurate, great range with the .300wsm, and once you get used to the blond streak at the bottom, the laminate is not so bad. Moose was 150yds, one shot, clean through, just above the vitals.

Above the vitals? So where did you poke him exactly? Not the fabled hump shot!?

Btw, since the moose expired it was a good shot.

I didn't really pay much attention to it to where it hit. Like you say, it did the job, moose ran about 40 ft and dropped. I don't shoot for humps, just forgot the gun was sighted in a little high at 100yds. It hit exactly where it should have.
