After years of buying general moose tag just incase it paid off.. after some close
Elk calls started my morning with wolves howling and no elk responding. Decided to walk into some areas I haven’t explored. Walking this thick trail that turned i spotted this bull 40 yards away. The wind was perfect so 10 min later and one soft grunt he was 30 yards broad side. I was able To stand and draw my bow and the shot was perfect.

Will be a morning I’ll never forget..

Are they actually documented approaching rifle shots because they've learned what it means? Or is it likely another factor, like blood on the air etc.
