Moose Down

I put on illuminock on all my arrows and when I shot the bull I was like that’s odd didn’t see it light up.. but I heard that sound that you know it was a good shot and had eyes on the bull and he wasn’t doing well.. anyways after got back
To the truck noticed my the nock was still on my bow..

That's frikken hilarious about the nock! Gonna say that particular arrow was a little farther weight-forward, than you had practiced with, eh?

Nicely done! Hope he eats at least as good as the story of getting him reads!

I knew an old pack outfitter that had had a LOT of issues with Grizzlies running in on the sound of a shot. It's an issue.

Are they actually documented approaching rifle shots because they've learned what it means? Or is it likely another factor, like blood on the air etc.

A buddy of mine has been hunting a heavily populated Grizzly area 35 years and he figures they come to the sound and then come in downwind on the scent. He says they have had numerous encounters within minutes of having a moose or elk down on the ground.
