We hunt hard ,we've come on hard times and I got involved with logging .hence the skidder , it's damn hard work. that moose will come in handy. I take my hat off to everyone that does manual work. And a 42.5 moose is very good ,any moose is a good moose and you can't eat antlers.I would be just as happy for a yearling, that moose taped at 48 inches but he looks small because of the size. last 8 years we got them on the first or second day. We've been blessed but we hunt hard and during the season il lose 20 lbs at least. I'm going up on Friday to see if we can get another, members of the old group got a bull and cow tag and if they don't get anything then we will be dogging for them.just got a call and once hide and head hooves off we got 530 lbs meat with bones. Moose live weight was probably900 to 1000 lbs
