see now that could have been your moose if you were ready

good going guys great bull ..... nice weather to by the way , may the rain gods of BC piss on the rest of your season now

well i,ll start the story :D
the hunt was with a group of three guy,s ....we were up in the dryden area #8..the weather was way to hot for this time of year....the damm moose were not moving, but with the experience of a fellow hunter(moosetrapper.....a member of gun nutz here)
the moose was shot by dumbdawg
as they say once its down the work begin,s....we had to quarter it to get to a truck about a mile out on the road
quartering it was done with a electric chain saw.....that was bought just to perform this task....it worked out great....once in truck we had a hour and a half drive to get meat to a butcher..as it was to hot out to hang in camp
the rack was about 48 inches and 25 points.....hanging meat at the butchers was 700 lbs
ya was a good hunt :D
thanks moosetrapper for sharing your hunting skills with dumbdawg and i
cheers bro,s

well congrats again guys , we have had crappy weather all hunting season here so no worries of meat spoiling in camp, but the fog did just lift here and this is what I saw :

open moose season starts here this week

the morning started off being very foggy. my line of sight was about 100 feet. i could hear the bull grunting about 200 hundred yards away but could not see anything. about half an hour later the fog startedc to thin out but sight was still poor when i started to hear it moving near me but i could not see anything.i'm looking but nothing when bro gets me on the radio to tell me hes got a cow in front of him and its heading my way so let it go as we had no tag for it so i tell him i got something near me but not sure as i had next to nil visability.next thing i 'm looking in the direction of the sound when i see a set of ears then the face came in clear i could see it was a calf .so i started to put my crosshairs on it when i started to see the tines of the antlers come into viewso i had to pass on the calf  i hit it with my 7mmmag using 175gr swiftwith 53.5 gr of h4850 at about 120 yards away

It's big and brown ... why it's SSSHHHCOLATE MOOOUSE(Top Secret style 1984 movie) ...  That's an awesome story and great pics ... faaaark them moosey's are BIG'UNS eh?!

Congratulations guys, I hope you do as well in deer season. Mommabear, nows the time for that big freezer you always wanted.

I head out tommorrow morning early for a week weather looks too warm, but we are supposed to have sunshine through to Friday.

By the way, what's the spread on that moose? Gonna get it scored?

Good job fellas.

As a point of order, I hereby move that the rack be mounted on the hood of mommabear's vehicle immediately.
