where is everybody hunting and what are you getting in the draw?

Lots of moose but not according to the MNR, I think we put in about 8 guys in a group every year and only 3 tags in the last 12 years.

Good thing were not up there to just hunt moose but spend some quality time with the guys and usually end up leaving with as much grouse meat as a calf moose anyways!

Same thing in the part of zone 47 that I hunt (2,000 acres). The odds are about 27:1 against being drawn for an adult animal, but over 3 weeks of hunting last year (1 moose 2 deer) we had 19 moose sightings in 23 man/weeks in the bush (2 moose, 21 deer). We figure we saw 10 or 11 different animals.
