Moose in the Cariboo

Got a bull draw in the Horsefly-Likely area. Ive hunted this area a lot over the years but not lately. The last few years the moose were becoming very scarce so we started hunting north of Prince George.
I was wondering how the moose population was doing there now?

Hurting.

The dramatic increase in wolf numbers has hurt moose numbers. That is one reason why the hunting bag limit for wolf has gone from 5 per year to unlimited.

Yeah I've only seen three moose this year, two alive and one dead, all were cows.

Don't be surprised that you get skunked as very few of the locals have stated they haven't even seen anything this year.

My favorite moose spot was logged and since then the moose stopped going there (this has happened to a couple people). BUT I do know of another spot which can almost be as good, especially during hunting season!
