Yesterday morning there was an extra large bull in the middle of town by the old train station.I did not see it but lots of people did & my buddy said the rack was Huge. :) DAN>>>

It was a 7am & I do not know if anyone got pics. The local paper reporter was still in bed but I will see if anything shows up in the paper on Wensday,(paper once a week,Local) :) DAN>>>
If it would have got hit by a train my buddy would have been here & I might have got a hind quarter. road kill.   DAN>>>

Several miracles there:

1. A mature bull made it to that age living near Chalk River where "some" residents consider licences, seasons, bag limits, etc just vague guidelines.

2. A mature bull with a big rack wandering around Chalk River was not shot, repeatedly, by several people. Some would actually be armed with centrefire rifles capable of killing it......

3. A mature bull sighting in that WMU, where you even need to get drawn for a CALF tag because the numbers are so low.

and the fourth miracle:

4. Dizzy Dan did not get wind of the moose until the excitement was over.

Doug

PS to Dan)

Deer this morning in my neighbors yard, I have seen 4 total this summer in his yard.My poor little beagle was going nuts & she has never been loose out side, she is my house mouse. :D DAN>>>

Had a similar experience today .Got a call from my Mom around 7:30 this morning wanting to know if I still had anythinf (shotgun rifle etc. ) still at her house. When I asked her why she said that a large bull had just looked into the back room(which used to be mine before I got married) and scared the you -know -what out of her and she figured that since it was early she could get a shot off and then grab my cousins ( most of the family live within 2 mins walk ) to drag the now deceased beasty inside for a portion of the kill .

Go Mom !!!!
