Hello, 6 of us are planning a rifle moose hunt for 2027 and are looking for recommendations on an outfitter that’s within a drive able (8ish hours max) from the Ottawa Valley. We had it narrowed down to Pavillion Richer in Quebec but can’t seem to get a response so starting to look elsewhere. We will have two seniors with us so accommodations can’t be overly rough. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You wouldn't be far from Pavillion Richer but I would ask for pictures of your accommodations, I went there around 2014 or 15 and the cabin was awful. Mouse ridden, holes in the stove pipes, no shower or flush toilets and you're stuck in one area, if it sucks so does your hunt. It's 130 km from the highway on a dirt road that can either be good or bad depending on the grader schedule. One other problem was anytime we went back to the main lodge on the road system, you would have to travel through other hunters territory and unfortunately one guy was getting irate with us because he hunted off the road.
