Moose Recovery

A group at our moose camp used this method to pull out a moose. The animal was lowered down in the parking lot by their truck. $800.00 for the ride. [$600 an hour]. Definitely worth it sometimes. Great pic

We considered flying it over a nearby town but thought that might cause some unrest.
I was concerned about ripping the antlers off its head but we've done several like this and it works beautifully.

Hah right. No, we hunted on foot, and with one quad split between 5 hunters. Spotting moose from the air isn't as easy as you'd think. And if you do know where they are, they can be 2 miles away by the time you land and get close.

The price would be so worth it at times. I have had moose go down in places where it would have been easier to just pack the BBQ in.

A friend of mine has often described hunting areas thus: "Great hunting there, but take a frying pan and a bag of toilet paper and eat the animal where you shoot it.

Absolutely forbidden in the Yukon to use a heli to assist in hunting in any way...............would be nice from time to time though.............

Moose get big up here and the bears are hungry
They can be a lot of work, especially if you shoot them in water....................

Had a friend get called into a fishing camp in the Charlottes to weigh a Halibut, 850+ pounds if I remember, good for nothing but Dungy Bait
