Well I was out for a tour yesterday looking for a couple of the moose I had seen kicking around my one hunting area. I had just got out to the good stuff and was up on the top of this long coulee glassing a couple of muley bucks when out of the corner of my eye I catch some movement across the valley. I took a quick look through the binos and pretty much yelled to myself "PIGS".
I made a couple of calls to see if anyone of the guys I know in the area were around and wanted in on these. No answers on the calls so I was on my own. A quick loop around to the end and back up the other side to the finger I had seen them in and all hell broke loose.
When the smoke cleared from the 325 wsm I had a nice sow on the ground and 5 little piglets around 40lbs dressed. 2 did manage to get away or I would have had the whole herd. The 200 grain Accubonds and 414 really did the trick on these Russian piggies.
I know , i know, no pics I did take some after but was by myself and in a hurry to get them gutted and into the butchers cooler. Since I have to use my laptop cause the tower on the home puter died I don't have the Canon program on the laptop.
This last group brings my wild pig total to 14 now. Butcher says he will start cutting them up on Thursday. The little ones will be fantastic on the b.b.q..
