Yup, that 3 day season everyone tries years to get a tag for opened up this morning... I believe that around 2100 licences are handed out and about 50,000 people apply for them each year... The season runs thurs, fri, sat and a tag lets you shoot a moose of any ### or age...

I think I will go up to the DNR office to see some weigh in's... I've never bothered to apply for a licence, I hear people go decades without getting one!!! CRAZY!!!

SuperCub, sorry to hear your a member of the "Decade Club", but it seems to be a common theme with Moose hunting in N.B...

I personally think it should be free to apply, heck with 50,000 applicants a year, the govn't makes a half million dollars just on the application...

Then they make anothe $50 or so on the licence to each and every "successful" applicant and ANOTHER $50 or so for you to put another shooter on the licence with you... It's a real racket...

Super cub..... Move your attention to the west. For a dollar a day. :idea:

365x17=6205. that should get you hunting for 2 weeks on a moose-deeer-bear combo on pretty much anywhere you could find all three.

I did not count the leap years because that's my fee. :oops: :roll:

West does look good...............I was to the Yukon for a fly in hunt for two weeks in 1998, and am planning to go back next year :D

Also there MAY be a trip in the future to Sask for deer :idea:

I just called a friend who I used to work with back in the meatcutter days. He has over 10,000lbs of moose in his cooler right now. :shock:

He was full yesterday, day 2 of a 3 day season :!:
