So, how many of you have a moose tag for this year 2023 and where are you going to hunt?

My group did not get a moose tag this year…grrrrrr lol deer will have to do, better than nothing, no? :)

Maybe next year.
 
I do every year. Get to go on 2 hunts this year. Oct 1 for my father in laws draw tag and then my dad and my hunt on Oct 15-19 in the sask northern Forrest. It's always my favorite hunt of the year. Even just to ride the atv during the day and shoot ruffed and spruce grouse.

Yes, the whole trip is always my favourite. The truck ride to the hunt area, in my case about 10 hrs. The atv rides, the search, and finally the cherry on top is when or if you get to fill the tag. After that the real work begins but that is fun also.

Same to you. We're pretty lucky here getting to go every year. Our area is only about 2 hours away. We don't get our bull every year but usually see something. Didn't get one the last 2 years but got 2 the year before that.
 
I was drawn for bull moose this year in Alberta. It usually takes 7 years to receive the draw in the zone we hunt. Every 3 to 4 years my son or I are drawn. So far we are batting 1000 with the bulls. A partner tag is purchased by my son, therefore he is also allowed to shoot the bull. We must hunt in close proximity to avoid shooting more than one bull. He will be shooting a Mark V 300 Weatherby and I a 9,3x74R. It’s always a hoot hunting those bulls, but a lot of work once they hit the ground.
 
it s still otc moose tag here but i will predict it will not last ... i was drawn in a beautiful aera this year but the lack of water this year will prevent access even in a little canoe. i will still hunt up to the end of the season.
 
I put in for a cow moose tag every year but am maybe not able to get one due to winning one year for a tag I was not able to use due to rules here. Keep trying then try to find a hunting partner as i am disabled.
