Moose Vs. 6.5

Aawww, there's lotsa dumb-ass Westerners too ....
seems to be a great density in an around Vancouver and
on the lower half of the Island. ( Yeah, in and around Canmore too ! )

:D oh yes there are special people everywhere, :D

Bountiful BC, Dawson BC (blowing up pipelines), and a whole lot of special people around Spirit River AB that must be closly related to the Dawson bunch, real wackos.

But that was not my point, :D If in doubt get another gun :D

Quite right ! Nothing written says a guy is limited to 2 guns.

He really should upgrade from the mil-surp stuff anyways. ;)

Sounds like he'd be happy with say a Sako Finnlight in 300 WSM
or some such !

I will go with that... and see how it goes over!:D

I know, I should upgrade sometime from the milsurps, but that old mauser has not failed me yet... I think I need a new gun!

Ah ha.... quickly out you go, you need a new rifle, think how sad you will be when the day comes when your old mauser fails you, like an old friend saying "I don't want to hunt anymore". Now you need some new rifle that you can use and abuse and not get too attached to. That was if the new rifle ever fails you you can always say "ah it was never as good as my old mauser" :D

If you have a valid reason ( in your mind ) then best get a new gun lol
i keep trying to tell my hubby I need a new gun for moose this year lol but hes not buying it :( but that be what Id do just say you need a better gun for hunting this year .
especially if she doesn't know you can kill a moose with either gun you have :) hehehe

47.0 gr IMR 4831. Muzzle velocity is 2,818 fps out of a Remington 700 Classic. :)

Thanks!!

Doesn't the wife realize that you could get trampled by a run away moose, or you could pick up a tick....thousands of moose have been shot in Scan. with the 6.5X55 and thousands in Canada with the .303, but you need a new 45/70, maybe the one with the large loop lever, fast followup shots at charging moose!!
