More $100 Mosin's?

I'm more interested in a carbine than a rifle, depending on the ask. I know that you guys were tossing around a pretty steep figure a couple months back...
 
We are not tossing a steep figure we were telling what to expect. Carbines are coming but those will not be cheap. I never said those be cheap. 91/30 went up in price in a past year you will see that those are going out of everyday business. I am still trying to bring them cheap. If you want those tomorrow with prices that was given to me they would retail at 240-250 dollas. Now if I bring those at that price with good rifling would that be acceptable? You would say NOOOOOOO
Original Snipers at 900 acceptable NOOOOOOOOO.
I have to look at market and what you guys want. You want 100 dollars Mosin this is what I try to do. If it have to go up to 125 or 150 then this is what it is, not 250

What will be approximate carbine price? Will it be like around $200-$300 or higher than that? Just want to decide if I should wait for a carbine or buy a 91/30 and forget carbine for now : )
 
I understand your position, Al, and I appreciate it.

Comments that you get here you should take as free market research, however, rather than criticism.

Some guys just want an MN for a cheap shooter or Bubba project. Some want to hoard crates of them hoping for a future payout. Some have a historical interest in them - all of these people will put a different dollar value on what the piece is worth to them, and that determines whether you can make any money bringing them in.

I'm just more in the "interesting shootable curio with a reasonable cost of entry" category, with no interest in being a collector. If it has a good bore and isn't beat to sheet, i could care less about a milsurps pedigree or provenance. So in a way I'm not terribly fussy, but not terribly rich either ;)

With those that have more knowledge than me about this deal or perhaps took advantage of it in the past:

1. Did/do they come packed in grease?

2. With all the tools, bayo etc?

3. Matching, non-matching or could be either and you just need to get lucky? (and yes I am aware they are inexpensive)

4. Tula/Izzies or both?

When I get comments here I expect them to be educated comments and if in my opinion it is not I will reply and educate the community on what to expect. I hate comments like $10 dollars per rifle or why are those to expensive. It is simple supply and demand curve http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand If it is just people trying to lower the price of a rifle good luck then. We are trying to bring those at the price that is acceptable and possible. If I buy this rifle for 180 dollars overseas how can I sell it for $100. Cost of investment cost of transportation , duty and taxes. Paying employee and rent for warehouse. All of that has to be calculated.
If I could buy them for a dollar and sell them for 5 I would but reality it is 2013 and not 1913.
