The reason i ask is because i just go through so much of it! The LCW stuff does appear to be good ammo, but on a price per shot basis its quite a bit more expensive! .35 each vs .21 or less sometimes. Between myself, the wife, and friends i go through a few thousand rounds every year haha. The price adds up.

Quite frankly, just the fact that LCW isn't corrosive makes it worth the extra .14 a shot!

Always depends on which gun you're shooting it into, but my 600$ 858, my 700$ AIA and my soon to come 3000+$ RPD are worth it!

It's more like .35$ vs .15-.17$ if your not staying out all day then there's no reason not to shoot corrosive ammo.

And I will definitely be using corrosive I'm my RPD. Hope fully canam get more because I have a feeling my current stock won't last.

Corrosive or not, as long as you give a detailed cleaning when you get home from shooting, and then soak the weapon down you'll be ok. But reusable brass is the way to go if you set up for reloading.

I can't justify $.30 + ammo in a $150 SKS. If you are running a more expensive gun and aren't one to clean after EVERY shoot, then by all means pay the price. It will likely be the smarter router for such a scenario.

I also don't see the financial benefit in reloading 7.62 either - I can't justify my time to compete with the $0.15 Corrosive stuff.

Never an issue, just like mentioned clean properly and every thing is fine. If your lazy and don't look after your guns, well, you tend to get what you deserve. I have been shooting cases of corrosive ammo without any issues.
Just clean your rifle after every use. I have no issues with corrosive ammo..

I might have an extra case or two if anyone in East GTA/Southern Ontario is looking for some of the '71 Norinco. We ordered a bunch from Canadaammo but it was delayed in shipping so one of he guys we were splitting with had changed his mind. PM me.

If you have nothing better to do than clean firearms, or maybe you like cleaning firearms then corrosive is fine.

Some of us have more than one firearms. Not fun coming home to cleaning every one of them. When you shoot corrosive you get what you deserve.

Some folks like to wash their cars more than they drive it, to each their own.

Poff: Yes its non-corrosive but that's not an issue to me. My family and friends use my firearms (at least in this occasion, and nearly all other) so I'm the one to do the cleaning. And quite frankly I enjoy doing a cleaning job on my sks's.(It's totally zen. Without or with whiskey lol) Its not like its hard work lol and even though I may have to do all 6 of them it doesn't bother me lol.
Yes to someone unlike me who doesn't for a weird way doesn't enjoy cleaning their guns after use....... well that's cool I guess. Have you ever shot 300 or so rounds from an sks? LOL I don't care if you use non-corrosive or not they start to jam and/or stovepipe after too many round without cleaning.
And if it seems to be a concern to anyone I've spent quite a few dollars on at least 4 of my sks's. more than 600 any ways lol. I'm not bragging but i do love my guns lol. My personal baby is quite done up and its actually quite accurate.

Thanks Caleb: I was trying to put my guesstimates on the outside ranges of the prices. I know very well they have much better deals at times.
And I'm very jealous I don't have an RPD..... very very jealous.

Yes hound: No matter what rifle you have.. In my opinion you should give it a throughal cleaning. No matter what you have. But when it comes down to it buying surplus ammo is way way way cheaper than reloading. At least in the case of 7.62x39 at surplus prices. But i do understand the concept. I reload for my .300 Weatherby. The ammo from factory is quite pricey and I load my own that's much more accurate in my rifle. And its slightly cheaper. But from experience... 7.62x 39 just isn't that accurate no matter what. At least compared to whats out there in other calibers. Even if you reload your own.

Redmaple: You are totally correct.

AROD89: I clean my rifle after every shoot. I always thought it was just good behavior.(My father taught me lol. Clean em or they won't let you clean a deer) Or not to be judgemental but I think its just the responsible thing to do. If I shoot 1 round though my dirty, old, worn out, farmer, pump action (that i dearly love) 30-06 I clean it. Fully. That rifle shot I don't even know how many animals before I owned it but I shot my first deer and my first moose and my first bear (and I hope my first elk and mountain goat and/or maybe bison) with it. It deserves my respect and I extend that respect to every gun I own.
So yes I agree with you. Cheap ammo with good cleaning practice is the way to go. And no for us lunatic shooters who go through crazy amounts of ammo the LCW just doesn't make sense. though i might... MIGHT buy some being that the hollow point may be good enough for hunting.

burnaby: Dude I'm sorry but as I said earlier it's just good behavior to clean your guns after every use. If I shoot 1 shot from a rifle of mine, no matter the cost of the rifle, it gets cleaned when I get home. No matter what. And in my opinion if your using a sks and you're not cleaning it to spec then you are risking serious malfunction. In that case slam fire. Or just pain in the **s stovepiping. Clean your guns after every use I say. I understand what you're saying dude but it really is important you clean your guns. After every use. It doesn't matter if its non-corrosive or not, the build up of carbon and other stuff may cause your guns to jam or worse case fail in a very dangerous way. For example the firing pin on a sks may get jammed causing it to fire out of battery (Out of the Chamber) which may mean SERIOUS harm to yourself.
Some people wash their cars more than they drive them???? Well i would agree with you there. But its not so often cars blow up in your face if you don't clean them.

OK so that's my big rant for a long time haha.

And thanks CanAm I will be buying a few cases this spring. (As long as it doesn't end up like the T97 debacle lol)

There is no reason to freak about corrosive ammo. Your gun won't disintegrate within an hour after use or anything. In fact, you can leave it alone for a week or so, really. If you have a chrome lined barrel and receiver, all you really need to focus on is the gas tube. You see videos of people going to extremes when cleaning. You don't need to be that compulsive about it. Windex neutralizes acid. Spray it on the parts after a normal cleaning and wipe it off.

Windex doesn't do anything, it's the water in it that rinses away the corrosive salts.
