I don’t want to cancel my preorder for the Makasi. I have one in with SFRC for the Carmel, and the Makasi with Bullseye.

Ive been humming and hawing about canceling one, and these past few reports have made me consider canceling the Makasi, but I truly hope the quality improves and we hear something to ease our minds (and wallets)

I think we are in an age of single runs of a multitude of new rifles, super apealing, expensive, and with little or no support available. Will they still be building them a year from now? Are parts available? ore will we just have to buy the next flash in the pan latest and greatest rifle that that we can't fix either.

Sad prospect, buying stuff with no history or track-record.
 
^ I have a feeling these are going to flood the EE.

Noone wants to cancel an early order but also not sure they want to keep the gun.
 
The only reason I’d sell mine off is as a lefty I can’t shoot it without eating brass and cannot rig up some kind of deflector for it
The cycling issues look to resolve themselves through break in while not ideal is not the end of the world either
For 2500 bucks no rifle should have any problems unless it’s a freak one off defect in manufacturing but these are the times we live in…

Yes i am going to cancel my order, seems like the value for money is too big to overcome and money could be spent better elsewhere
 
Doom and gloom aside, that thick ass 18.6" barrel was a nice surprise. I hope the ~7ish pounds includes this barrel and that they didn't just post the weight of the American model. Mag dumps galore!

I wonder if the Makasi would take a forced reset style trigger? They could be positioning the 18.6' in the States with that in mind, as a thicker barrel could take the heat better.

There is no sear trip on the BCG to allow any conventional AR15 FRT or SS to work.
