More details from the Globe and Mail

nice first post....well there's an activist troll or illiterate journalist if I ever saw one...ban hammer anyone?

Actually, not either of those. I saw the list and then signed up for this website to hopefully chat and learn some more. I have been searching for a used Tavor for a few weeks now and am looking to purchase new now. I just wanted to check on the forum here as a lot of you are much more knowledgeable on the current topic than myself. I did not see the X95 on the list, and wanted to just ask before I dropped 3k on a rifle. I own a 19x and a russian built sks. I spent 10 years in the military and deployed to Afghanistan as an infantryman, I am not an activist.

I read 23 pages of this BS and can’t take it anymore, I’ve skipped to commenting. Is someone going to offer up an idea of what we do? An action we take or are we relying on internet banter to have our voice heard? I’m not looking for anything radical but the crowd must have some lawyers that can lead us in the proper direction to take

There are legal routes. Wait out. Expect announcements from businesses and individuals when the shock wears off a bit.

I'm with you. The sheer number of posts is daunting and many of them are beyond stupid. Everybody here s cranky, and with good cause. Go for a walk :)

If it’s on OR not on the list a dealer or gun nut will be able to explain this to you.

I don't quite understand your comment?

Is anyone able to confirm the Tavor is safe? Can't see it on the list, want to make sure I am not missing an abbreviation or something.

Thanks

Perhaps a call to a dealer will give you more comfort. If it isn’t on the list, it isn’t there.

Ok, now how about a list of alternates worth buying that are not banned? A lot of us newbies tried to register in time and are now left floundering... what do we have to choose from that's worth the time, money, and effort? And yeah, like they really need to mine a gunnutz thread to inform federal policy...

I think we’ve learned from the passed to little to late. What can we do now.

Well, why don't you google Canadian online firearm retailers, the ones that are being threatened with closure and costing families their livelihood and countless people their jobs like Wolverine Supplies or SFRC, and see who has an X95 in stock. If they do, then it's probably not on the list. If they don't, it probably is.

Thanks for your service, but a Globe and Mail thread and asking questions about buying guns probably is why you aren't getting a lot of assistance on the matter.

Thanks for the reply. I did call my local gun store, and was told it was not on the list. However, I never trust a single source of info so thought I would check here to ensure I wasn't missing something on this list. I figured forum members much more immersed in the civilian world of firearms would be a second good source of info. I chose this thread because it was active and related to the list. Searching through the posts after, it seems a made a mistake.

I personally like my phased plasma rifle (40w range). It's not on the list. Just what you see, pal!
