More K100 information...

I had the opportunity to buy one last year for under $500(used), and by the time i got home, did some research on it, and went back 2-3days later it was gone, and i kick myself slightly for it!!
If i found another one used, in good condition, id buy it. I dont' know if i'd spend the $750ish new price tag on it though...... i have higher up's on my wish list for the price......

I got a chance to shoot mine a couple times now, and I'm very happy with it, although it is my first pistol. Next time I go shooting, I'll take some pictures in action, and maybe a short clip or something... So within the next 2 weeks (best guess) I should have a small review on here. I bought my Mk. 6 brand new from Wolverine at a great price, it was on special!! The only one I can compare it to is my brothers SP-01, and I defenitly like the K100 better.... My brother's gonna kill me when he reads that. :runaway: ;)

So... which/what magazines does it take again? I thought I remember reading it can take CZ75B mags.

I read somewhere that the 75B mags work, but you have to drill one hole on them somewhere. I'm not quite sure on that.

I really like my K100, the ultra short and crisp SA trigger and soft straight back recoil are things that are going spoil me on other service type pistols. I wish the finish/cosmetics and the product support were a little better but its definately one to watch.

IPSC production question:

Would Grand Powers new compact pistol (the 'P1') be legal for IPSC-Production (the P1 is already on the approved list) if equipped at the factory with a longer barrel for Canadian law? I am thinking of requesting/ordering a P1 with the barrel from a K100 :)

I love the way it looks and I want a 9mm pistol with rotating barrel.

I have the Mk.6 and am quite happy with it. The only issue I have is with the weak safety. It's not positive at all, and can easily be bumped on or off. I've had other shooters try it out at the range and say something like "Wow, I'd be all over this gun if it had a better safety." Once Grand Power comes out with better controls it will be hard to beat for the price.
Btw, the mags are dirt cheap and work fine, so don't go buying CZ mags and drilling holes in them.

Marstar I think is having them on sale at reduced price(-100$) because they screwed them over and are trying to clear out there inventory.

Dear Friends.
actual production lines of K100 / Pi pistols has manual safety with stronger positioning. Or, for sport shooters, we offer " get out " manual safety, and changing it by safety capping strip. At this configuration is K100/P1 like russian TOKAREV :)

I don't see the price change on the site but I will give them a ring for sure.

Do you think Marstar will still warranty this gun after they stop selling it

ordered

I ordered mine yesterday from Marstar. They don't advertise the discount on the website. You have to ask for it. I wanted the mark 6 but they were sold out and had only the target and silver left so I ordered the silver. Warranty should not be a big issue as TSE I'm sure will help out as soon as they become the distributor.

Well Canadian access to firearms has marstar with k100 2 tone for 549, mark 6 549 and target 649 with the header christmas sale: all k100 pistols are 100.00$ off.

I'm going to replace my front sight ASAP, it's made from not just any old cheap plastic but nasty cereal box toy grade material. As for the safety I have no complaints however I'd prefer a decock lever.

So the entire front sight is plastic? I'm not surprised as the Glocks also have plastic sights (stock). But, the nice thing with Glock is you can throw the sights away and buy new ones :)

Yaroslav: Will any other company sights "fit" in your pistol? (e.g. would CZ75B sights fit in the front and rear?)
Also, when TSE begins distributing your pistol... could you send a few "P1's with extended barrel and silver slide"?; I would buy one today if possible :)!
Nice work on the new design of the grip and safety, I really like it.
