Honestly, I've bought lots of things from Reliable and it has been my favorite gun store in hongcouver since the '70's, but I live in a different province now and when a store basically says "you stand over here and wait, we're going to let our "preferred" customers shop the best deals and when they're done you can sift through the scraps"; it really puts me off....I never treated one of my clients or customers like that and these guys have just lost a customer. period. I'll go and shop at those c@nts at Lever arms before I buy from Reliable again.
 
people should be rewarded for staying out all night waiting in line. They earn first crack at it. I would be there too, but have an exam tomorrow so hopefully online has what I need.
 
Im not from the area either, but why should I reap the same benefits as someone willing to camp out in the cold? It makes no sense to me. What makes this any different than "In-store only event" sales by other retailers?

Dont be pissed at Reliable, be pissed at yourself for not living their... or having better gun shops that offer the same deals in your current area.
Never ceases to amaze me at the all-deserving attitudes/views that people have these days

Exactly makes sense that those willing to wait should get better deal than those ordering from the warmth of their home. I am sure they will still have some good deals for online, at least I hope so can't go because I have an exam mid day an not sure if I would make it in time. Unfortunately life comes first not like I'll never shop there again tho because I will miss best deals. Just hope they still have what you want

^^^+1 to this, anyone that's willing to line up in the damp wet cold vancouver winter has every right to have first dibs over anyone sitting at their computer waiting to click and buy.

It's cold in Vancouver (reports say 8 degrees celsius)? That's cute.
 
I was all set to head down in a few hours but I think I'm going to give it a miss this year. I always end up buying something I didn't want or really need as a way to justify standing in line for 5-6 hours. I think it'll just be ammo from Italian's Friday sale this year.

Depending on what your body is acclimatized to, yes, 8* can be cold (even before windchill and other factors). Especially in BC, where it's a wet cold and rains often (kind of like last night on the fine folks waiting in line).
