Just received the new toy and totally pumped to get to the range. ( Stag Arms 15 Varmint )

Questions: 1) There is a little play between the upper and lower. Is this normal for AR's ?
2) Are there short 5 shot mags available ? If so who on this forum sells them ?
Thanks

1. Play between uppers and lowers is a normal thing. It will not affect accuracy. If it annoys you, you can place a ear plug, earaser or even purchase a accuwedge to place near the rear take down pin to eliminate the slop.

2. Most stores that carry AR15's will carry 5 round short mags. Sorry I don't have time to check and list them but click on the banners at the top and you will find them easy enough. Start with Wolverine, SFRC or Bullseye in London.

A little play is normal and doesn't affect accuracy at all. Thermold makes 5 round AR15 magazines. I don't know if they are available in Canada though. There are lots of 20/5 mags available if you don't like the 30/5 mags or better yet, the 10 round AR15 pistol mags which are a little shorter than the 20/5 mags.

X2 on the 10 round pistol mags.... better pick a few of them up before the RCMP decides to change / interpret / make up the laws again.
